• WWII USAAF M3 Flak Helmet - Named with Artwork. 8th Air Force

This item is out of stock

Here we have one of the best Flak Helmets we’ve had the privilege to sell.

This is a classic original M3 Flak Helmet which came from the estate of a named veteran a Herman Hansen who was believed to be aerial gunner . The Helmet was purchased from an estate auction in the US along with several other items.

The Helmet has the original flocking on the outside. It comes with the liner complete and the ear pads are still attached. The strap is still functional and intact. More importantly each ear flap bears a Wehrmacht symbol.  There are some suggestions that that these symbols were unofficially awarded when the wearer shot down enemy aircraft.

No further research has been conducted into the service history of Herman Hansen. A ration book containing Hansens name and home address is also provided in the sale along with the original auction listing.

This is a top class item worthy of museum display.

Overseas buyers must contact me for postage costs as this will only be sent via tracked and signed service.
