• WWII USAAF B-4 Life Preserver. Dated 1944

Standardized in 1942 this was issued to all US Aircrew. The manufacturers date stamp has faded but there is an inspection stamp on the back with a date of 17/4/44, it may well have been re inspected as part of the preparations for D Day. Again this is a very clean B-4 but unfortunately the neck strap has been removed but could be easily replaced. There is no fraying on  the remaining straps. The manual rubber inflation tubes have been cut but again these would not be hard to replace. Please refer to the photos. The CO2 Bottle actuators are attached along with a dye marker kit which are normally very hard to find. We do not clean items that come into stock as buyers have different preferences regarding looks in relation to original wear etc. This preserver is in very good condition and would  look great on your Army Air Force Mannequin or as  a Living History Prop or with the correct repairs, a very good museum piece
