WWII Undercarriage switch. Spitfire, Typhoon, Lancaster etc
Here we have a nice new old stock undercarriage switch as fitted to several aircraft such as the Spitfire, Hawker Typhoon and Avro Lancaster.
It was normally found on the instrument panel and its purpose was to prevent the retraction of the undercarriage whilst the aircraft was on the ground.
As can be seen in the photos this item is still wrapped in its protective paper and has the original stores tag attached which confirms the stores reference number to be 5C/1974. A nice addition to any instrument panel re build.
