Here we have an original part of the original Bomb aiming delivery system as fitted to Lancaster Bombers and other RAF Bombers in WWII.
Upon approaching the designated target the Bomb Aimer would take temporary control of the aircraft. Having released the payload the Bomb Aimer would then relinquish control of the aircraft back to the pilot

As can been seen in the photos there is some paint loss commensurate with the age of this item. The large central control knob moves freely
