The Williamson F.24 camera was the main air reconnaissance
camera at the start of World War 2. It could be mounted in the wings of a
Spitfire for low-level vertical imagery and also mounted in the rear fuselage
for vertical and oblique imagery.
This motor has a parts reference number of 14A/988. The
drive shaft moves freely
This type of camera was fitted to aircraft such as Spitfire,
Lancaster, Stirling mosquito, Liberator and several others
