This is an original vintage military Army Air Force Inspection designation A-5. Made by Standard Molding Corporation in Dayton, Ohio. The light body is made from Bakelite with a brass tube extending out of the top. Beyond the brass tube is a flex tube and then a cats eye lens. The light uses two D batteries. As used by mechanics and other ground personnel. Made by the The Standard Molding Corporation of Ohio. The base is marked SMC Made in the USA.
