    Here we have a very nice MK XIVB  Altimeter which has a stores reference number of 6A/685. Date shown on the face is 1940 which dates it to the Battle of Britain period . 

    This unit is in good condition and complete. The hands rotate and the bottom dial turns when the knob is moved. Made by Kelvin Bottomly & Baird Ltd Case is marked on the rear with the AM Crown  

    Rated to 35,000 feet this would have been fitted to aircraft such as the Spitfire and Hurricane 

    A very good example.
